Having just achieved runner up in the Homes & Gardens Fabric Awards 2015 in the ‘one to watch’ category big things are in the making for the very talented fabric designer, Zoe Glencross. Although the company is still fairly new, Zoe is quickly gaining followers and recognition for her gorgeous designs and fabrics. As well as Zoe’s latest award from the design industry she also recently won the ‘Interiors’ category in the My Country Business Awards 2015, a huge achievement.
Zoe produces her beautiful prints on white and grey tones of natural linen with a colour palette which has chalky interior paints in mind. I love the way the fabrics look so delicate and pretty but they are hard-wearing enough to cover anything from chairs to cushions.
The current collection features a fantastic selection of prints in a variety of colours and designs. The ‘Dew’ collection is printed on wonderful natural linen with decorative designs featuring names such as ‘Bollin Bird’, ‘Slade Stripe’, Adlington Cowparsley’, ‘Mottram Herringbone’ and ‘Windmill Wood’. For this range a lovely muted palette of soft grey and blue has been selected which will work with many interiors.
The ‘Inky Sky’ printed linen range has much bolder patterns which will make wonderful statement pieces in an interior. The use of dense indigo hues printed onto the natural linen looks stunning and really helps bring a room to life.
The ‘Petal Pink’ linen range is made up of pretty pastel pink with pale blues and greys. Its a really delicate look but very robust fabric which is suitable for a range of products including upholstery, cushions and blinds.
Theres also the wonderful ‘Camomile’ range which is created using a warm yellow hue and pale grey, I can just picture the beautiful interiors these fabrics will adorn adding texture and decoration to the space.
Finally the ‘White Cloud’ range has an infusion of calming whites and accents of greys. A fabric that can be placed in most spaces to bring an added dimension to the room.
I really love all of the textiles Zoe has produced. they can all be used in a variety of interiors without looking out of place, from a rustic country cottage to a modern city apartment. The colours chosen to create the collection are extremely workable with many different schemes, I also think the price is very reasonable too, you can even order swatches if you are struggling to choose which gorgeous fabric to go with.
The fabric is stocked in interiors shops in many areas of the UK (full stockist list available on the website), there is also an online shop on the website where you can order the fabric directly as well as swatches. Zoe will also ship worldwide (see website for details).
